My stay at this hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were good-sized with futons set out by the staff, but they were clean yet a bit shabby. The large window offered a nice touch, though.

The staff just introduced all necessary information and were welcoming and friendly, except for one incident with the main course. They did prepare the futon bedding in the room for us.

The location is superb, right in the middle of Kamikochi valley, just 5 minutes from the bus terminal, and close to all sorts of hiking trails. The view is stunning, especially by the Kappabashi bridge.

Staying at this hotel was a lovely experience overall. The rooms were cozy, Japanese-style with futons set up for sleeping, offering a beautiful view of the mountain ranges and river. The service was impeccable, with staff always ready to assist and going the extra mile to ensure a comfortable stay. The location, nestled in the stunning valley of Kamikochi, provided an excellent base for exploring the scenic mountain trails. The dining experience was satisfactory but could use more variety for longer stays.
